View Full Version : Inspector Generals - 0 for 10 agencies

The GS scandal brought to the forefront that Inspector Generals are the watchdogs of federal agencies. Last week we learned that 10 agencies don't have any - some for more than 1,000 days (3 years) because Obama has not submitted appointees.

Last year he submitted names for two, but nothing has happened apparently because the Senate has to approve these appointments -- at least that is what I got out of the report.

If Harry Reid has not put this on the Senate's calendar, we can suspect that it is because he (or someone) doesn't want these positions filled. Obama could certainly apply pressure to Reid to get the job done if he wanted to do so.

There are acting Inspector Generals minding the store for these 10 agencies.
