Now it's been defeated in the Senate 99-0. That means not ONE Democrat could be strong-armed into voting for this President's budget. They can't come up with their own budget and they can't support the President's budget. All they can do is whine and cry about Ryan's budget.
And it's those obstructionist Republicans that are preventing anything from getting done.

Of course not. it's an election year. Don't expect anything meaningful or controversial to be passed between now and December by either of the legislative branches. It Sucks, but that's the way it is. And that's why we're in the mess we're in. Too many people on both sides of the aisle worried about re-election and not enough worried about the issues that face our nation.-Paul

I'm impressed. Spoken like a true Reaganite. It was he, you recall, that said "There's no end to what can be accomplished if you don't care who gets the credit."

We agree again.

Occurs to me that the Constitution doesn't make a distinction between election years WRT having a budget. Since 2010 was an election year for Congress as well, and now 2012 ... did the Constitution say that we should have a budget only every other year than an election year?
