Looks like the Big 12 and the SEC have agreed to have a Bowl Game on New Years day featuring the the winners of each conference. Rumor has it the game will be played at either the Cotton Bowl or Jerry Jones' Big Yard. Should be a great deal for both Conferences financially while elevating the stature of the SEC.

How does it "elevate the stature" of the SEC? They have won the Nat championship 5 or 6 years in a row... It might help elevate the Big 12 a little...

The game only happens if neither team are in the Natl Championship game...LOL. This game may not happen for a while...

I must have missed that story. Been too busy watching LSU dismantle #2 South Carolina in SC to win a share of the SEC Baseball title this weekend.

I kind of like the current BCS format where the winner of the SEC plays some other team for the Nat'l Championship and the SEC runner up plays is the Sugar Bowl.(wink)

On another note...Benson is getting ready to make Drew the highest paid player in the NFL. Not since owner John Mecom made Archie Manning the highest paid player at $365,000. per year has the team had the highest paid player. Geaux Saints!

The Saints can afford to pay Brees now that they aren't paying all those bounties...
