Now, we are getting somewhere!

"We are now trillions of taxpayer dollars into these financial bailouts and the government refuses to answer basic questions about the government's radically intrusive response to the financial crisis," said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. "The American people are tired of the Obama administration's stonewalling and they want answers. The Fed should obey Freedom of Information Act law and respond immediately."
With respect to the AIG bailout, Judicial Watch previously uncovered documents showing that the government did not expect taxpayers to recover their "investment" in AIG. For example, Judicial Watch uncovered a series of presentation slides detailing the terms of the AIG bailout. Included among the items is a slide entitled "Investment Considerations." On the slide the words, "The prospects of recovery of capital and a return on the equity investment to the taxpayer are highly speculative" are crossed out by hand.

Franco, everyone knows we can't continue without the Fed!! Haven't been to the forum in a while and I'm not suprised no one's responded to this thread. Until people understand central banking nothing will change. Vote for Mittens and everything will be ok.

Have people forgotten that Mitt supported all the TARP bailouts that probaby save him hundreds of millions. Anyone looking for any meaningful monetary reform won't get it from either candidate in November. Voters are too caught up in all the manucia to focus on what the real problems are. The Repubs, just like the Dems are caught up in big government as the solution. Mitt is as big a flip-flopper as I've seen in sometime. The electorate will get the President they deserve. In the meantime, lets keep the message of Liberty and a much smaller Federal Government alive! If and when the GOP loses this election, we may just get the change in the GOP that will better serve all tax payers in the future. That or the GOP will fade into history.

I think the GOP is toast and most don't see it. The libertarian leaning conservatives are coming out of the woodwork. Government can't take control of the Internet fast enough. If they succeed it's game over.

The Libertarian Party has grown 20fold in the last 2 years. Independents are at an alltime high and are disenfranchised by both the Dems and Repubs.. Even the Democrats have grown some. Only party to lose membership...yup you guessed it!

in reality the only time a party affiliation matters is during a closed primary....and the reason Indy's are at an all time high is that people are sick and tired of being labeled by conventional jargon

by and large the country is still right of center...when it comes to fiscal matters

where they differ the most and seems to set off the most controversy is on social matters ( abortion, death penalty, gay marriage, drug legislation)

the other problem among conservatives is that those that may be conservative in one area accuse those on the other side of the issue of not being a TRUE conservative and infer that by being less conservative that they are somehow less patriotic than the other...

its the social issues that are the hot button topics

That demonstrates how today's new Conservatives are anti-Liberty. They are more concerned with how other people live their lives than the overall well-being of the nation. It is a dangerous situation when you have a vocal minority telling citizens how they should be living their lives. They don't want people having the responsibility of being free!

THAT IS THE BIGGEST BUNCH OF HORSE CRAP.......just because they stick by their social issues does not make them anti liberty......NO ONE is stopping you from enjoying whatever vices you care to partake in your personal life,in the comfort of your home

but neither should someone have to be afraid to practice their religion in the church, synagogue, temple and yes even a mosque of their choice

There is a reason we have laws in this country, I don't want to see people fornicating on the streets, I dont want to see them copulating on the streets, its part of what makes us a civilized nation, we are not a bunch of animals

Just because the majority of the country may not agree with your personal choices, you are quick to say they are ANTI LIBERTY...there is not ONE person here on the RTF that is ANTI LIBERTY and you know it...but like in many other ways , anyone that doesnt fit into your idea of conservatism or libertarianism, either isnt a TRUE conservative, that also goes for those that also hail from a more liberal point of view, they are NOT anti liberty either

Apparently, you don't read the post here on POTUS! No one is advocating fornicating on the streets. Typical, twist the subject around when you know you are wrong!
