Interesting question. I have wondered the same thing. I would guess that you will get a lot of very different answers to this question. TIC......... It seems like some women think "looking presidential" means "tall, dark and handsome". Of course "handsome" means different things to different people.

I take it as the person bieng not brass, or argumentative to a point of bieng disrespectfull to the oposition. Its kinda like what Joe Biden did at the VP debate. Laughed, interupted and was just plain rude. Not presidential at all.

It means that the voting public cast their vote based on "looks" more than "substance".

it all started with our GREAT First President, and this painting of him. He set the bar for the rest to follow. Imagin if he had been huddeling in the bottom of the boat, life vest on? I wonder how some that followed would look, crossing an ice filled river in the dark in a small over loaded boat??? Makes ya wonder!

To me a President should comport himself with dignity and grace (minus any animus), be sartorially resplendent and display impeccable tonsorial accumen.:D

It's in the details.................

Again, your sanctimonious assumptions do not serve you well.

It means that the majority of our country's people base their political decisions on what they have been trained by our media to consider as presidential. They would probably be better off calling it "prom king and queen", as that would definitely dumb it down enough for the masses to understand what they are really supporting.
