It looks like a widening split in the Repooblican Party. Of course, its his right to take a verbal swing at POTUS, but, not a second official swing, unless Rand Paul represents an officially new party.

At the end of the day you can bet he is doing it because the republican moderates told him to shut up.

I wish the fruit cake was giving the official republican response.

Who the heck is the Tea Party Express? Would that be like UB's Tea Party Patriots or the Tea Party Evangelicals?

Rand Paul, the Senate's most active Repub member in terms of trying to get legislation passed/reform and the GOP establishment snubs him in favor of Rubio. Rubio makes no waves and is a good boy get along Repub, not like that Rand guy trying to reform a corrupt system.

So, when Rand doesn't get any establishment GOP support in 2015, is he going to run as a third party Tea candidate or run with the party that can get him on all 50 ballots? That would be America's third oldest party, the Libertarian Party.

And, the Dems will do all they can to discredit and marginalize Rand by painting him him in a Tea Party corner. All we've heard out of the Tea Party since 2010 is their distain for Planned Parenthood and PBS. Rand is more about smaller government, balanced budgets and Liberty whereas the Teas run under the banner of Liberty but really don't mean it! That was never as evident as when they backed Rick Santorum.
