Trained with Lee Jolley and Donnie Fitzgerald on Saturday. Lee said that the entrees were very light. AS OF Saturday - Acadiana had 38 Derby dogs and 16 Q dogs - remember did not close until the 17th. Quachita was really hurting - they closed on the 11th and only had about 10 and 10.

Everyone has agreed to keep the entries open until today - For those of you that are procrastunators - bet a phone call will get you entered.

Well, y'all have fun without me! I don't have a dog ready for these stakes. I hope to get Raider down to the spillway for the SLRC Full-Licensed trial in March. He's never been in the spillway, if you can imagine that!

I hope the spillway is not under water!

Lee was saying that the River was supposed to crest on Feb 2.

There is water seeping through the gates although they think that they will not have to pull the boards.

I think the way they have it set is that two Q's and one D start on Friday and two D's and one Q start on Saturday. Entries are now closed.

Yes, the spillway is leaking in water between the pins in the lock/dam. Currently, the middle area betwen the two levees is flooding. Plenty of room to set up series off of the levees. I'd say about 25% of the area is flooded.

I'm more concerned with the Spring thaw up north bring lots of water down in March and possibly having an impact on the March Full-Licensed trial. The high water in the Mississippi river right now is from heavy rains up north and some thaw.

The high water has ruined the duck and goose hunting down at the mouth of the river. Where there was marsh is now under water!

    The way i understand it, that's a big no-no.
