Open is a massacre. It's a quad but I don't have any details on the setup. They have only run 42 dogs and only 8 have done it. (Don't ask me to define "done it" because I'm only passing along what I was told.) Lots of dogs aren't finding the flier (go bird) and are being picked up.
I'm heading down tomorrow early afternoon so will fill in details later.
Derby is starting the 4th series tomorrow morning.
Hey Melanie....I'll bet you run into our "favorite" ex-RTF (now banned) member at the Derby! !

How many dogs were entered?

75. So when we were having our 100+ Opens and needed big opening series we didn't get them and dogs were pencilled out. Now the first weekend that we're finally back down to an acceptable number of entries, the judges decide to throw a doozy of a first series.
Are we having fun yet?

30 dogs back for the second series. I may not make it down there today--I'm waiting for a call to see how long they anticipate it will take to get through the land blind.
I do know who got a 4th in the Derby 8) but will wait until I get the other placements to post.

Eighteen are back for the waterblind in the Open. The Amateur hadn't finished their waterblind yet, but there were an awful lot of shouts of 'Here" being heard. We could hear them while we were running the Open landblind.
Congrats, Melanie!!!! I had a lot of persons come up to me and tell me how great Blur looked and her marking was really sharp.
