Yes I am in Ontario
Not knowing your investigator, I would be cautious as to what you say. They have no prove other than a statement about doing some dog training. There is no season on them. You could shoot them all day long and allow the dog to retrieve them.
You are allowed to place them in a field and have dog flush them and even shoot. I would focus on that activity.
Do not offer any more than you are questioned.
keeping pigeons is not a crime
Shooting them is not a crime
Guess someone could make a case for cruelty for anything
I wouldn't say that you hooded, taped them up etc
I am on the Board for the National Retriever Club of Canada.
Keep me posted.
for my Monday discussion with SPCA investigator, I would like to know if your are in Canada. I am in Victoria, BC and I think the federal legislation on wild birds is what prevents us from using live shot ducks and we only use dead ducks. But my problems is with cruelty to live pigeons. Will be interesting to see what she says Monday.
