Bon Mallari I have a ton or respect for Lanse and considered him a good friend. I would like to lend a hand in any way possible for you and or his estate.

I live in Nashville Tennessee. I can board dogs or find rides for them to where Lanse wanted them to end up.

I judged over 30 field trials and every one that Lanse ran under me I received a nice card. He won one of his double headers under me and bombed out on the first bird more than once while I was holding the book. He always went out of his way to be nice to me and always had a word of encouragement if he saw me about to run a dog. He also mailed me a key to his Alabama farm many years ago. He would call me from time to time and I did not answer he always left a funny message on my voice mail that brought a smile to my face.

    my number is 615 400 6818

    Sincerely,
    Henry Ragle

Bon have disagree with you about training grounds - for example in WI - the madison retriever club know owns 4 properties with water - dug ponds on three for dog training and 40+ acres each, then WAFTC owns 2 properties with world class water, Manitowoc owns a couple of great land and water properties, Ray Mutch owns training property, then Parrot, Unbehaun, Spangler, Curtis own training grounds with excellent water then Mike lardy, Paul sletten, Andy attar plus hunt test pros own land with water - More than you could train on in a year within a couple of hours away from each other

always remember back in the very early 1970's the national was a Bong in wisconsin - Hill with dandy and eugine corona both trained at the Madison retriever club - charlie had is kids along and we got a thunderstorm and it was the first time they experienced the Wisconsin weather - was the start of E collars and the training and attituded of the dogs was so rudimentary compared to todays dogs - Dandy was a two time National champion at that time and bolted in the first series of the national if my memory is correct - drills those days as angle entries were a mystery yet and were worked on all the time I threw and shot birds for them

Did not have room for all of it.
I just cannot imagine doing someone like that. Not giving them time to get another stud. No nothing. Is this type of attitdue common with Pro trainers & breeders. I have already been screwed 3 times with breeders that I thought would never happen. Is there any good dog people out there?

Hope you been doing good Bon

    Bon,
    How are you doing?
I was wanting to ask you a question. I know you have been here for a while & you & your brother have been doing this for a while & I was wanting to ask if you have ever had a problem with this or if it is just me. I was under the understanding with a stud owner to do a breeding to my female. Had tried a breeding a year ago & it did not take. planned to do it again as soon as she came back in. She did come in & I contacted the guy everything seemed ok. We had to do AI because of his location. I set up with vet to do progesterones to set time. We do 2 progesterone test & decide on time. Have been trying to contact him since then with no result. I think I have called or emailed about 10 to 20 times with no results at all. No return call nothing. Well tomorrow is my last day to do breeding. I will miss this breeding.
