Hey there. Well Manitoba wasn't what I would have hoped. Early freeze had the birds move right on through the area I was in, so I packed up and went to Dickinson ND. Very disappointing there. Lot's of pheasants around mind you, but getting landowner permission was next to impossible. Lot's of pay to plays and guide leases. So I left after a few days and went to Douglas, which is just SW of Minot. Met a very nice land owner where I finally got some nice hunts in. Both waterfowl and Pheasant. He has invited me back this year which I intend take up the offer. He said there was a lot of A-holes in the past before me, and he was hesitant to let me on the land but decided to give me a chance. After showing my respect of his property, and leaving his family with a thank you card and then calling him from the road on my way home to give a personal thanks for saving my trip he invited me back this fall. I think this fall will be much better now that I have a destination.
How was your North Dakota hunt this fall
