Hi Muddyspringer, Yes, I did use one for a few seasons. I ran mine with a low profile 9.5 HP Johnson. This not only gave me good speed, but enough power to deal with weather. It did really well for hunting. At times I had a lot of decoys, gear and a dog to haul. However, there were many days on the Mississippi Rivee I did not go out because it just wasn't that safe. Twenty mph+ winds in the wrong area were not fun the few times I got trapped out there. Experience and common sense about limitations avoid any real problems. I boouht a bigger boat with a mud boat. The difference was huge. I would not go back, but I miss some (maybe a little) of the clever little hunts I could do with the Bluebill. I guess this has to be posted in to messages....too long.
