Has he been checked for EIC??
Has he been checked for CNM? There is a carrier close up in his pedigree.

No hip or elbow certification. No EIC or CNM status. You get what you pay for.
Just like everybody else says, you need health clearances in todays world. I have a litter on the ground we are having great difficulity selling, even after drastic price reduction, due to the bitch being eic carrier (50% chance of carrier for the pups, none affected). People say no problem, but when it comes to putting out the bucks, they will go for clear every time. Bud
Are you serious? What caught your interest in this dog? It seems to me there are a LOT of studs out there with stronger breeding, better titles, proven records, and above all, health clearances. Even if it costs twice as much, its still a "deal" when you realize you will have better success selling the pups, not to mention "doing the right thing".
I really am interested in finding out what attracted you to this particular one.
Yep!, website, dog trailer, started dog title, gotta be a good trainer.
Priceless
And, according to a search on AKC's website, whelped NOV-23-2006, so I'm doubting OFA cert on hips (I'm doubting any health certs). Oh, no Junior passes either. SHR only at age 2?
I am NOT interested in this dog as a stud. I don't even own a bitch. I own a littermate to this dog. I emailed the owner of the dog advertised and asked about the health clearances. The fellow answered my email and stated that he was offended that I would question his ethics.
My dog (littermate to the dog advertised above) has his HRCH, got it when he was @15 months old, I trained him from day one BUT I am NOT a dog trainer and he is NOT up for stud and he never will be.
I just wanted opinions on this particular breeding since my dog is a littermate, either positive or negative.
Not planning on ever breeding my dog, there's plenty of FC's, AFC's, etc. out there to breed to.
I would just like to get some information from folks more educated than myself about dog pedigrees.
Thanks,
LSpann
Here is what the owner of the dog sent me in an email when I inquired about such testing:
"I believe in promoting the breed and only breeding dogs
that have these clearances and would not do so otherwise. Yes,
he's been OFA'd, CERF'D, and CNM'd. He has not been EIC tested
yet. I also do not attempt to breed dogs before the 2yr mark
due to not being able to have some of these test."
