This trailer in the thread below is for an HBO Movie that will premier at 8:00 PM, Saturday February 21st. It is the true story of USMC Lt Col Mike Strobl escorting the remains of a Marine killed in action, LCPL Chance Phelps home to Wyoming for burial with military honors. Never forget that no matter how bad your day is throughout your life and our time as a Nation some gave their tomorrows for your today and tomorrow.
Semper Fi! Rest in peace LCPL Phelps.
LCpl Phelps served in my battalion during OIF 2 in 2004. I was present during the events that led up this. I will say that there was not much we could do to mourn him while still being overseas. We built a Baseball field and named it Phelps field on the base we were staying at in Ramadi.
I thank you for posting this, I had no idea that they were making a movie about it.
I have no doubt LCpl Chance Phelps knew what you did to mourn and honor him.
The Nation is truly blessed to have Americans who put all they are or ever will be behind them and risk all for fellow warriors and people at home and abroad they do not even know.
Thank you for your service!

Here's a series of Pulitizer winning photographs chronicling another young Marine's funeral. They're truly heart wrenching: http://www.pulitzer.org/works/2006,Feature+Photography
