As noted in the article, the bill has not attracted a single co-sponsor and has been referred into apparent oblivion as it deserves and as happened when it was introduced previously. But if it makes your paranoia feel better, it's as good a focus as any.

The fact that it is even being thought of at that level should give one pause for concern, regardless ones level of glibness!!

There are 435 congressmen. At any moment in time several are having brain farts. Any one of those farts can turn into a bill. It only takes one sponsor which is exactly what this bill has.
