So you never discuss issues with your friend, run into your friend at the golf course, church, duck hunting, or at the coffee shop?

Even finding out when a public meeting about an event is enough information to know where the legal concerns can be placed. If you never know about the public meetings by never talking to your friend, then the public may be missing out on being protected by an outside citizen with nothing to profit other than making sure their property doesn't get flooded by projects inadvertly not following federal law.

There is a big difference between networking and slipping $$$ under the table in order to make $$$$$$$$$$.

Shouldn't everyone be encouraged to network with the engineers, and even policy makers or politicians that will affect our games, our hunting, and so forth?

Funny you should ask that…no I don’t talk to him about the projects he is working on l…I have two good friends that are attorneys and I don’t talk to them about cases they have or have had…do I network within my industry…you bet…it is how I get things done…do I deal with gooberment agencies? You bet…do I buddy up with them?...no…why would I ? They are regulating me and it is my job to stay in compliance not to influence the outcome. We do have annual and semiannual industry meetings with the variance agencies so we figure out how to work together better and understand new rules and regulations.
I find out about the meeting by staying informed about my industry…they send out mailers for almost every event.

As President, I would;

Cut Federal spending by at least 80%.
Slash taxes for ALL.
Do away with the Capital Gains taxes.
Take out both Iran's and N Korea's nuclear capabilites
Keep the Taliban on the run.
End All corporate bailouts..
Secure both our southern and northern boarders by any means nessessary.
Deport all illegals.
Do away with the illegal's "Anchor Child" law.
Let the states decide if they want to legalize marijuanna and tax it.
End Affirmative Action
Review and rewrite our Immigration Laws.
Give more power to the individual states.


That's the agenda for the 1st week in the Oval office.;-)

I contend that is is much easier to network on stuff that relates to your job or industry, than it is with the stuff that affects what is happening around you in your neighborhood or land. It wouldn't be unethical to ask if there are any projects that are going on near you that may affect your property in anyway, and then go through proper channels.

I have got to ask, are you investing in developing properties, and trying to get around the federal laws regulating the requirement of putting in flood control structures on the down stream side of the developments? If not, then your pocket book will not be affected.

These required structures are not cheap for developers, which is why they try to get away without building them. The public has multiple benefits from these structures being in place from not flooding your neighbors out downstream to providing fishing and dog training facilities.

Not sure what you are trying to say Terry....I attended a meeting last summer concerning zoning of property adjacent to my home…a private company wanted the land rezoned for apartments. They posted a sign on the property and I went to the meeting…Oklahoma Wildlife Department has meeting every year and if there is something of interest to me on the agenda I go to them. In today’s world it is almost impossible to NOT get information....I just don’t think I need to go spend quality time with my public officials.
