It appears that Obama's puppy (Portuguese Water Dog) will be a gift from Ted Kennedy. Having seen what has happened here, I believe the breeder will attempt to stay out of the limelight entirely.
My deepest sympathies for Mrs Brown. But based on Biden's propensity for "mis-statements", he'll probably forget to feed the dog or get vet care and then blame it on her .
It's an adult dog so that probably was a wise thing to do. It can look like a rescue.Quote:

Saw it on the news last night, and you are correct, Eric, it is the 6-mo old being re-homed by the breeder.
Is it at all possible that this could reflect well on responsible breeders? That they "take care of their own" with so their dogs tend not to end up in shelters? Perhaps there is an up-side?
I said months ago that if the Obama's wanted to get a "rescue" dog, they would get one or make it look that way even if it wasn't a real rescue dog. The 6 month old dog isn't a "re-home." Come on!! It's a started dog...
Who's dumb enough to believe that the Obama's or their staff are going to house train a puppy in the White House. That's just gullable...
I feel terrible for the Browns. This is just another case where a normal citizen gets wrapped up in this Administration's drama, and gets dragged through background checks, Liberal media-hype, and special-interest groups' abuse...

Apparently the dog was re-homed. The breeder pretty clearly has her head on straight.
