BS. Sounds like marketing. Who doesn't feed their cattle alfalfa and grasses? I guess my dad can now advertise his beef cattle as environmentally burp friendly cattle, but I doubt it will change the price at OKC West Stockyards.

Pure marketing - smart marketing maybe - but pure marketing.

The article states that if every dairy used their methods they could reduce GHG emissions the equivalence of removing half a million cars from the road. Well, guess what? The EPA estimates that 30% of the energy used in this country is wasted, and if that figure were reduced to 20% wasted we could save the equivalent GHG of removing 30,000,000 autos from the road. That is more cars on the road than Texas, Ohio, Illinois, and New York COMBINED!

The "half million" sounds good, but it is a drop in the bucket. Marketing...
