Sen Mary Landreau tried the same tactic last Fall but was duped into believing they would issue new permits after the moritorium was lifted. Well, it was lifted, she approved an appointment but no permits have been issued!

Good for him... ought to start jumping on his judge nominees as well.

He won't need the lack of drilling permits as a reason to jump on not approving Obama's judge nominess;-)
