I was 6 years old when he landed on the moon. I can still remember my parents having my brother and I nap in the living room and waking us up to see him walk on the moon.
Watched some of the Congressional hearings he testified at recently. He looked pretty robust for 82. If he was hurting, he didn't show it.
Not continuing that astronaut program is certainly a page from the Obama and the Democrat's play book....need that $$$ fo welfare! Let's not be the best we can be, and certainly we shouldn't take any pride in what we have accomplished.
RIP, Neil Armstrong. Your place in history will always be revered in my family.
