Sick 6 month lab
So early Friday morning he got diarrhea. He wasn't going all the time, but a little more than normal. This continued all day Saturday. His energy was normal. We started feeding him rice to get him back on track. Sunday he didn't poop until about 8:00 pm and it was pretty much normal with a little mucus-like stuff in it. Sunday morning he threw up, but I thought it was because I fed him too much rice. Last night he threw up a couple times in the middle of the night. One was the mother load of rice/kibble. After that it was more of a dry heave. His stomach was constantly gurgling. This morning I put straight rice in his bowl and he won't touch it. If I put his kibble in there he'll eat. We are calling the vet as soon as they open, but just trying to get some ideas.

See my thread sounds bout the same.
Turned out to be a bacteria infection.
These are also signs of parvo. Take a fresh poop sample the vet will test it.

He does eat a lot of miscellaneous scat when we are out training. I try to get him to stop but we all know how that turns out...

Don't panic! You are taking him to the vet so write down everything you have posted here for your vet visit.
It may sound silly but at the vet you may forget some of the details.

My wife just got back from the vet with Teegan. They didn't think it was anything major. They put him on some antibiotics. The stool sample didn't show anything, so hopefully he is eating and digesting normal soon! It's been a long couple of nights!!!!

Do you allow him to eat rawhide?
I had a male who would develop an intestinal infection every time he got into rawhide and would react with Parvo like symptoms.

Nope, no rawhide. Vet thought he probably picked it up from the bunny, deer, or kitty scat left in our yard/where I train. And with a lab, who knows. Everything goes into his mouth!
