Former Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw is not shy about ripping current quarterbacks.
In the past, Bradshaw has been critical of Ben Roethlisberger. On Thursday, Bradshaw turned his attention toward Drew Brees. Seems Bradshaw is not impressed that Brees now holds the NFL record for consecutive games with a touchdown pass (48).
“I’m not into records, fellas,” Bradshaw told WFAN radio in New York. “I’m just into winning football games. The Saints hadn’t won a game this season. I’m not into records, I’m into winning Super Bowls. We lose sight of why we play. We play to win and to win championships, not break records.”
Bradshaw, a longtime analyst for FOX, also felt it was inappropriate for New Orleans coach Sean Payton to attend Sunday night’s record-breaking game in which the Saints defeated the Chargers.

“I was a little upset that he (Brees) went to the NFL to get Payton back to watch him break a record,” Bradshaw said. “I’m like, 'Are you kidding me?’ I never would have gone and asked. I thought it was disrespectful to the San Diego Chargers.
“So go ahead, break it. … You’re throwing it 50 times a game.”
