Does anyone have a link to the rubber bite strip people put on the Dallesasse whistle? Or is that a home made product? I have seen several people at field trials that have them on various whistles.

BUT
as I am a whistle chewer I have discovered that the small rubber bands used on a hog castrating tool will fit snug on most all whistle mouthpieces. google Castration Coil if you do not know of what I speak.
You can take the boy off of the farm but can not take the farm out of the boy!
medical supply, rubber tubing, like the kind we used for our slingshots to wing our dogs:rolleyes::rolleyes:...or office depot and buy a pack of the large rubber bands
Get a foot of surgical tubing and you'll be set for some time. Put it on all my whistles.
I got rubber tubing from our local medical supply store. The salesperson didn't think there was ANY way that tubing would ever fit on my whistle, so she just gave me a piece to play with. To be honest, I didn't think it would go on either. My husband took one look, cut of a piece, and used a screwdriver to stretch it open: it slipped right on. Big improvement :)
Thanks all. I will go with the tubing.... just something wrong with having a nut clamp in your mouth, Ken.
