Puppy breath
Maggie decided to whelp this morning (2 to 5 days early we thought the 17th to the 20th)we woke up to two pups nursing at 6:30 at 715 we called the vet and got some oxytocin at 8:00 we took her in and had a big male pulled he was DOA but the vet said the other heart beats look good so he sent us home then @ 12 we got one more dr. Told us to give another shot of oxy here soon and hopefully we get a few more but she is keeping them clean and they are doing fine I will keep the updates comingAttachment 10062

We are up to 6 pups now she keeps pushing them out even after the vet said she was empty! She had another male 15 min ago but 5 were males and 3 were females one of each died during birthing, now we have 4 males and 2 females alive.

We jUst got another chocolate, it is a female up to 7 pups its like she is pushing these things out of no where the vet really thought there would only be one or two more when we had two he thought that the vet up in sd was way off with his 8-10 pup estimate.

talk about stress levels. Good luck with all that.

The pups are doing very well all 7 of them they are keeping Maggie busy that is for sure, it seems they have learned to move if mom starts to move so hopefully we won't lose any more. I can't get myself to leave the whelping room too much I am still worried something might happen to them.
Tomorrow we are going in for dew claws so that should be fu and a check up for Maggie to make sure she is all good on the inside as she still has drainage have a good day everyone
