"Many manufacturers are now realizing, after fifteen years of moving production overseas (China), that this was a mistake and are moving production back to the U.S. As products become more technically sophisticated, product cycles become shorter, proprietary technology more important to protect, U.S. production is becoming more attractive. "American workers are more skilled, on average, than their Chinese competitors. The alchemy among engineers, marketers, and factory workers is becoming all the more important."
