Having Fun Training.
Remi at 13 weeks, this is two different trips to the field today. She is still trying to get used to something other than paint rollers.
The only question that I have is that she like to sit and pull grass up my the mouth full, then spits it out once I throw the dummy. Is this normal? This is my first lab that I am training and trying to be careful not to do the wrong thing.

If you bought the Sound Beginnings dvd just follow along with what she says to do and use your wife/daughter as help in the field just like in the dvd.
If you can get to Madison on Sat/Sun or whenever there are lots of nice folks who winter there who might help you get started on the right path.

edit...
I'll need to check and see who's who and what's what around there first as I haven't hung out there is a long time.
I will say that if you do make friends with the retriever folks around there you won't regret it that's for sure.
The lady who produced the Sound Beginning dvd lived in Madison. I think she's retired from dogs now but had a National Champion once. She has a web site with contact info and it may be worth giving her a call.
