I am so sorry for Duke's passing. Good dogs come in all kinds of packages. Sounds like the two of you made a life time of memories - hold them close.

Duke was a fine hunting dog and companion. I knew him well, as he and Tim are on our HRC circuit and we hunt together on occasion. No dog was ever loved more, or better! Everyone he ever met was his friend as far as he was concerned.

I am sorry for your loss, they are never easy. Sometimes I wonder why dogs got the shaft and were not created to live as long as humans....., If they could, just imagine the wonderful world this would be....
