Downton Abbey dog work (GDG)

For Eug (who's occupied ground - if not silly mid off - on both shores): How come they didn't send Lord Grantham's yellow Lab to pull stumps at the end of the village cricket match?

Like as being a "cousinly" antecedent for the following

but on top of that knock (and not for six), there's also a contention, apparently just beyond Parliament Question Time, that the working dogs would have been flatcoats! If I may contradict, ought to have been a more "endangered working breed" yet:

I've been watching Dowton Abbey but I never heard the dogs name. It was probably mentioned when the dog was locked up in the barn/shed by the evil Mr. Barrow. Anyone recollect the name?

Me and Rowdy are taking a coffee break (cookie break for Rowdy), then we are going to do wagon wheel. This morning I will try to introduce orange bumpers between the white ones.

The Dowton Abby Lab is called Isis.
