It appears we're finally healing.
My 4 year old BLF been injured since the 3rd week of November, we've been battling a sprained carpal joint.
I'm currently on my second vet, after an initial evaluation this vet put her on weekly Adequan injections and half dosages of Novox. It appears we're finally progress, her gait is returning to normal, the vet had me swim her last week, after 4 months I finally got to take her out. Swam her approximately 200 yards, she seemed a little sore but rebounded nicely.
Now the vet has me swimming her two days a week. I have also extended her walks (on heal) to a mile.
She still exhibits some soreness and she still at times favors the injured foot. The vet has told be that some of this could be habitual. After this week I believe we're going to switch to monthly adequan injections and stop the novox. This vet also informed me that before he releases her he would like to take some additional xrays.
It just feels that I'm finally making progress to having a healthy sound dog.
