Hail call- thank you SOOO much Gooser!!!
I didn't post this before because I was too upset, but since I know my RTF family will understand I can now. Back in January, I had to make one of the hardest decisions I have EVER made in my life and let go of my "heart dog", Star. She was just over 11 years old and suffered a stroke back in November that she just never fully recovered from, I guess. A few days before January 6 of this year, she stopped acting like herself and started moping around, having trouble walking, and stopped eating. Since this dog has NEVER missed a scrap of food that drops on the floor let alone a meal, I knew it was time to let her go. She was my introduction into playing the retriever games (as many of you on here know, I was a bird girl for 5 years before her) and we had a special bond that no other dog will ever be able to match. She was my best friend when no human would be and enriched my life more than any words could express. My heart was broken and still hasn't completely healed. I miss her dearly every day, but know that I did the right thing.
After she passed, I remembered various threads about Urns that Mr. Gooser custom makes and asked him if he would give my Star a resting place to honor her in the way she deserves. Well, fast forward a couple weeks and I could NOT be more pleased with what I got!!
Gooser, you are a very special person and have a gift for doing this. I will be forever grateful to you and would DEFINITELY recommend MooseGooser woodworking to anyone that is looking for a special resting place for their dogs. The words "thank you" aren't quite enough. God bless Gooser!
