AKC Agility Nationals
Belated post but here goes. The labs ROCKED AKC Nationals in Tulsa March 2013. There were several in the finals including Lab "Henry" who won the 20 inch Preferred Division http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SyoVm-mSoA
Nine years ago my husband and I purchased a little black female with FT lines. We have had an incredible journey. We have trained nearly 100% time alone and at times the journey was tough. Breeze ran her retirement run at AKC Nationals in Tulsa. What an honor to step to the line with this incredible dog. Thank you David Peters for our special girl.
Now for the shameless brag (grin). Breeze daughter "Lexie" ran the fastest time in 24 inches and placed 2nd (0.01 second behind border collie) in hybrid round at Nationals. This was a TOUGH class of very talented and fast border collies. I can only imagine her dad "Dusty" was smiling down at her :) Thanks Dan, Missy and Fred for these incredible puppies.
Thanks Field friends for listening....back to regular programming :)
Labs are the best kept secret in agility (although if success like this keeps up word is bound to get out!) :) :) :)
Big congrats. Gotta like those field bred dogs...
Just hope, this time, there weren't any people in the next field, throwing ducks. (Wilsooooonnnn). ;-)
LOL Charlotte. Lexie is Wilson's littermate (the quiet one :) - Wilson returned to Dock Diving last weekend - nearly 5 months past surgical repair left rear leg. TONS of rehab and one determined 43 lb ball of fire :)
Wilson "I ain't got time for a dang broken leg" LOL
Get that boy some ducks, too....
