Secret Email Addresses for Govt Employees
AP has discovered that it is common practice for govt employees to have non-public email addresses, ostensibly because their "official" email address mailboxes get too crowded.
This then makes it more difficult to determine whether all FOIA info has been duly released. Sometimes it is, but with multiple email addresses being used (not just one other than the official email address), it can be hard to determine whether all pertinent communications have been released.
So ... if we are talking about the communications regarding the Benghazi talking points or the recent IRS debacle, do we really know if we are seeing ALL the communications that were exchanged?
Sebelius has more than one address, for example. We already know that the EPA administrator used one which used a "nom de plume"; and even had a govt profile for the non-existent individual, Richard Windsor.
Do we need to clean this house from attic to basement before the constituents can regain control of an out-of-control bureaucracy?
