Way to go, Lynn! And you too, Art
Congratulations on the second to you and Tom, Jean. The last time I saw that dog he was still retrieving stuffed toys!
Thanks for those pictures. I was looking for similar photos last night, but my breed books are all boxed (post flood) right now and it turned into a bigger chore than I'd planned. One of the...
Its pretty clear few people understand the range of coat types that are correct and have been in Goldens since the beginning.
You are of course exactly right about the insulation. Not being MT, the San Juan River here comes out of Colorado and there is often slush floating on the river when we hunt it. Its easy to tell...
"Here's that tight coated wavy haired SOB..."
Thanks, John! Makes my point. That dog fits the standard, is no mixed breed doodledog, and those wavy coats sure dry faster than the straight coats!
John is correct. I've seen some darn curly, very nice Goldens and several that I would not hesitate to breed. Better curly than white! Its an extreme of wavy, maybe.
Sometimes warming food in the microwave makes the smells come out more strongly and that will enhance appetite, too.
I'm trying to get over the fact that we don't have heavy cover or crops. I ran a qualifying (not an open or an am) last year about this time in MT where the go bird was at least 250 yards, down a...
Congratulations on the derby win Jean and Tom!
Congratulations Russ and Flo - quite a trial. And you too, David! Abe did good.
Lynn, Jean, and Art? Quite a derby, ladies and gentleman! Congratulations.
Yes, your dogs always do run a little sluggishly, don't they? Ha! It will be good to see you, and again, that is terrible news.
Art, that really stinks. I just saw this. I hope that he remains asymptomatic the rest of his life! Are you bringing him down to Navajo?
If she didn't find a home she was dead. What could I do? Besides, what's one more
I have, but it was up north in Chile and not south where the big fish are. It was about like fishing the South Platte near Deckers or the Colorado River north of Grand Lake where the river is small. ...
Yes, you have to catch him. Usually an emphatic NO and hauling him outside is enough. I just caught my 5 month old doing the same thing right by the back door. Five months old? His dad was never...
You'll do fine - do as you suggest, keep a good attitude with belief in yourself and you'll come through stronger than you were.
I was 35 when I got viral or idiopathic cardiomyopathy (who knows - had the flu and it progressed). into heart failure and onto the transplant list. My ejection fraction was in the 20s. A year...
Between general feedings I have taken my girl to the couch and put two of the tiniest on the richest nipples a couple of times a day. And I've bottle supplemented a couple as well. I gave mom as...
Thanks, Eric! Useful information
Looks like you had a lock on the 3rd place ribbons, Jean. Congratulations to you and Tom.
Ainley recommended WD40 to me
I've never used Cowboy Magic, but have used Pam and Show Sheen. both work, but like someone said, Pam can smell a little rancid. Cockle burrs/burdock are awful and one of my favorite places to hunt...
There are no words strong enough to describe an individual who would set such a trap. I pray for healthy survival of your dogs. It would tear me apart to face this as it obviously is you.
