+1 for the dobie
Did anyone notice the protester when the show came back from commercial just before the best of show round started? I wonder what the problem was?
Yeah its not the same but very close to what I see first thing everymorning. If not first thing its very soon after the first cup of coffee!;)
When you have a dog as your hunting partner it always means a little more. I started duck hunting to shoot. I graduated into wanting to be able to blow a call and be good enough to call in ducks....
You know how I know you're doing something right?
While holding the dummy you reach up to bump her bottom jaw and she starts wagging her tail. Congrats
You will make the right decision no matter when it is. Don't second guess yourself. Pretty tuff stuff.
I hunt the backwaters of the Mississippi river and that video makes me feel silly for putting vest and what not on my dogs!!

Well, you hit that on the head. If the dog doesn't want to it really takes the fun out of it for me.
With the proper paperwork it happens all the time. Without the proper paperwork it can become a nightmare. Do the research and triple check everything.

Thanks. I have never been to one but I definitely have plans to check it out.
Nice post Capt. Jack. I have a better understanding after reading your post. I can get confused with all the jargon.
What would a fellow have to do to enter a bonafied fieldtrial? I am asking as far as paperwork and requirements go. Any AKC registered retriever elegible?
Neither carry more weight to me. I had easier access to more UKC test so that is where we started. It might take some traveling but I plan to start on the AKC this Fall. Like the poster above said, I...
Thats great! It is amazing the difference a few feathers can make.
Please give us an update after you get some help. I am very interested in this. Good luck.
You can start with an obtuse angle between the two marks and progress to a more acute angle.

If you mean those of us who dearly love the outdoors and respect every aspect of it should stick together...then I agree.
Mr. Farmer, You are right on track. If I mislead anyone it was my mistake....
I have been saying for years that some folks should stick to having kids because they don't appreciate a good dog!
I don't see another option if you can't find a training partner or some mechanical thrower. Read up on "retired guns" and I think you may find some insight on what you are seeing.
