I'm thinking the "far superior" comment might have been a tad premature...
Just sayin'.... ;)

What a co-inky-dink.... ;-)

The BEST things about all of this is that The Janitor has flushed the GARBAGE down the COMMODE.... :) Good job, Janitor!
And good luck, Mark. If you're enjoying your dog, that's all that...
Yet another good reason not to judge the circuit where your dog runs....

Along with what Ken said, Nancy is dead on. If we change the culture, eliminate the "classics" so to speak, then what are we?
Michael, please change your name back to MooseGooser...put your name...
Usually, the REALLY good posts are the ones I miss. I was fortunate enough to see the one you put up Saturday night with your phone number in it and I thought it was one of the better posts you've...

Good call,...
Well stated, Helen.

Good luck.... :)

Had my first "behind the curtain" screening recently because I had forgotten an arthritis tablet in my pants pocket. That "anomaly" was one I won't be repeating anytime soon....

Fortunately I didn't see it the first time...and I could have gone the rest of my life without seeing it this time....the picture of Gooser, I mean....
My poor eyes.....

Yeah...that would be too much like field trials, wouldn't it...sorta like that "Friday start" thing...my bad.... ;-)

One advantage of setting the closing date for, say, 2 to 3 weeks prior to the event, would be the head-start they'd get on acquiring additional judges, birds, help, etc. rather than having just over...
I think this one would be hard to enforce UNLESS it was particularly egregious...and we both know THAT wouldn't be on this site very long. ;-)
The AKC's stand is that once the event is over, any...
Well said, Eric.
There's no way AKC is going to limit entries under ANY circumstances, so everyone's energies are best served finding other solutions that WE/the sport can control rather than...
