I too am training my first pup i have done everything besides force fetch on my own. I have followed Lardy's program and while i have encountered many hiccups along the way I have learned way more...

i had a similar problem when trying to stretch my pup out... I had the thrower wearing a white coat spin spin/move side to side and that got my pups attention before the shot and throw.
