Meat Retrievers are awsome!!........... Consider myself an avid waterfowler too(Avid=Addicted?). I used to think there was no need for all that "high brow" training but the info above is all dead on....

The club your visiting probably has training days too. Those can be a good place to help socialize and hear friendly advice from like minded folks. I would encourage you visit them on a training day...
