I have a Remington 1100 Special Field in 20 ga, with english stock. It is an excellent shotgun for a youth, or a woman, or when I get tired of dragging my 870 around. I bought it in 1995 or '96 to...
What Wayne said...did the same with my pup. I highly recommend reviewing Wayne's video's of what (and how) he did things with Rowdy...really good stuff there
PM sent...
Not a bad weekend in this pic for a couple of yeller dogs...Amber and Terry on the left, Chase and I on the right....

I bought an iPhone a couple years ago ...I hated it. Used it for 2 weeks, just could not get used to the keyboard. Gave it to my wife, she hated it too.
I have the BB Torch now, it may have...
LMAO
Coffee all over the keyboard regards,
Well Uncle Bill, apparently you aren't alone....
And coachmo, that movie trailer was supposedly on youtube since July...supposedly. But now is the time to get all riled up about...if you're...
Washington County, OK is the same. My voting place is the community hall in the little po-dunk town of 100 people where I live, and Sara (who runs the convenience store, and knows everybody) says...
Understood, and I do get the point of what you're saying. While I have not actively followed every jobs report on the pipeline, I have never seen anything that suggested "100"s of thousands" specific...
John, with all due respect, that report is full of holes...and does not represent the facts.
1. What that report does not discuss is the number of jobs that will be created in this country full...
Dove hunting here in OK in Sept, then heading to NE for rifle deer season in Nov, probably get a pheasant hunt in while I'm there. Trying to beg my way in to some duck hunting here in OK. Annual...
Yes you can. A lot of us have done exactly that...use Hillmann to get things started with a pup, and then "graduate" to Lardy or another program.
Congrat Matt! That's a great picture!
I thought pup was cheating a water mark....
Wayne, little Rowdy sure looks great! Glad to see he recovered from his sting/bite. I too went from Mertens to Hillmann; I think you'll find it is an easy step, and Rowdy sure looks like he's got...
My kennel panels are exactly 5' wide by 10' long; I made my deck with a 2x6 treated lumber frame, used 8" long 4x4 posts in each corner, and decked it with 2x12's layed smooth face up. The deck...
+1....I found myself looking at the girls yesterday, especially Traveler's momma....
Scorpion stings hurt like hades...hoping for the best for little Rowdy, I love your videos of you guys!
I have Mertens and Hillmann, and think there is value to both. Mertens does a great job of showing "treat training" for young pups in that 7-10 week old range, and Hillmann is awesome going forward...
That's hilarious! My GF's 1.5 year old grandson is super excited to "help" train Koda, even though he can't quite say "Koda" or "sit" (just Ko and "si" for right now lol)...I can't wait for him to...
What Nancy said; this is what I do too...treats when they are babies, and transition to retrieves as the reward as fast (fast probably isn't the right word) as pup allows. Get the Jackie Mertens...
I'm no expert, but I'd think about going backwards before I started new things after such a layoff. I have to travel for work, so my pup gets a week of training, and a week-10 days off while I'm...
Yup, what Ken said...gotta love that rope. My Koda is 20 weeks old, easily doing land marks to 60 yards, retrieves to hand, and still wears a rope. However, I did run into a small jam when "acting...
That's awesome Wayne! Seriously, your videos ought to be "must see" for every newbie with their first pup...I wished I would have had this kind of stuff way back when, things would be sooo much...
There are two dog stories that go down in the "hunting lore" of my pheasant hunting buddies....since I can't decide which to tell, I'll tell them both!
"The Retrieve"
It was mid-90's, Bailey...
