KRD, where are you located?
Thanks for the link, Glenda.
Guys, I'm always game for a training day. May be a bit tough in March as it's Hunt Test season in the Midwest, but let's try to find a date and make it happen.
Let me know when you'll be in Mt. Vernon. I live about an hour south, and you're more than welcome to train with me if you're willing to drive a bit.
Thanks so much for your post. Maybe there is hope after all!
Here's a shot of Ch. June of Sandylands. I believe she was whelped in the late 1930's. She is my favorite representation of female Labrador type, as set forth by the breed Standard.
If I'm not mistaken, a group of Boykin breeders did the same thing. Any Boykin folks out there want to verify this for me?
Sharon, you took the words right out of my mouth!
Pat, I'm in the same boat. I've got several young dogs ready for Double T, and just don't see that happening for awhile. Our hunt test season begins in March, and I'm afraid we'll be a bit behind...
Ahhh, very good "politically correct" answer! Let me try this from a different angle...what did you think of the Steele's two dogs?
Would like to know what dog(s) stood out to you yesterday.
Polmaise...you didn't just go there!
I train both mine and most of my client dogs using "American" methods and am very happy with the results.
Interesting to hear that folks have had such poor experiences with SportDog. I've owned an SD 1875 for several years (multi-collar), used almost everyday, with zero issues.
If I'm not mistaken, there was one in MS last weekend.
The Peoria location was through a hunting club, and I don't know if that offer is still on the table. My cohort had made those arrangements, so I can't speak for him at this time. I have plenty of...
It's been discussed...let's put it that way! A friend and I had one scheduled near Peoria two years ago and had to cancel due to lack of entries. Like our other games, entries are key to making...
To anyone thinking of running a UK-style event...I can tell you that they're a blast and a great opportunity to enjoy another type of game.
Email sent, Augie.
Augie, pm me when you get a chance. I think your boy would benefit from training with a group. While it's not quite a hunt test atmosphere, it's the next best thing.
Got a kennel pacer in the pack myself. It's a constant battle to keep weight on him.
Within 50' of my house. I'd be very nervous having my kennel at a remote location!
I stick with song titles/band names for my dogs. Current residents include: Keene's Josie's on a Vacation (call name Josie), Imperial's American Girl (call name Indie), Imperials Thunderstruck (call...
Music City outdid themselves, yet again. Thanks to everyone involved for an outstanding weekend!
Looking forward to seeing her, Tony.
