waiting for the second coat to dry now on my first trim
I've read a few threads on here about modifying a neoprene vest with some sciccors and neoprene sealant. seems pretty simple, we shall see when I actually get into it.
the vest I bought fits her...
goign down open stairs. she will not go down my steps on my deck. has no problem going up them though.
unless of course i throw a duck or pigeon off the deck while shes on there.
thanks, I guess she needs more work with hold.
working with her last night and again this morning, she seems to be doing slightly better with it. reviewing the dvd definitely helped me understand...
my girl is real solid with hold during OB or just walking around on the leash, but I have a hard time getting her to keep it in her mouth during our sit down sessions.
how long should she hold it...
Years ago we had an easter egg hunt at my grandparents with those plastic eggs. they were all filled with either candy or cash.
my grandfathers beagle got out there and found every egg with candy...
she certainly doesnt have a problem finding them in the dark. i figured she could just see alot better than I can, but the sound of the bumper falling makes alot of sense
for the last week or so I've been training my dog outside late in the evening and man it seems like she listen so much better out there in the dark. I guess less distractions to keep her mind off of...

my 6month old lab pee's in my parents house every time we go over there.
she hasn't went in my house for months, but sure enough everytime we go over there, which is at least once a week, she pees...
only if you have a treat in your hand.
my beagle is the smartest dog in the work when you're holding a milkbone, dumb as rocks otherwise lol
I just put treats on each step and helped her move her paws each step. 11 months seems pretty old, do you mean 11 weeks?
thats about when my dog figured it out, around 11-12 weeks or so.
up...
looks like you already have a MD stamp.
I saw a show on Public Television last week where they highlighted a program where wounded veterans were getting back into hunting.
great cause
I was just going by what the smartworks program suggests. I've read on here a few times that when you pick a program it's best to follow it to a T.
But I'm also new to retreiver training and am...
so you guys think it would be a better idea to wait until i get my new one for christmas.
I have no problem with doing that, just didnt think it was that big of a deal to start off with the...
2 fingers is tighter than I had it. I had it at 4 fingers. being too loose and her thick coat is probably the problem.
I'll test the range of the collar first and if thats not the problem I will...
good idea.
I guess I can trust the woman...
although it did come with a test light if I can find it
thanks, I will give it another go this evening.
it's a petsafe collar. a friend gave it to me so i figured it would be fine until I get a new one. have a tri-tronics on my christmas list.
I realize its a crappy collar, but it still shocks the...
I received an e-collar a couple weeks ago for my lab pup. she's 5 months old.
I let her wear the collar around for a couple of weeks to get used to wearing it before turning it on. today I...
good luck
seeing many divers down there?
brother said he saw some bluebills up this way this past week. I haven't been out on the bay though.
very cool
most likely heading down chesapeake beach saturday to see if we can't miss a bunch of sea ducks and hopefully shoot a few as well.
no dog to take with us though, hopefully next year.
I've had people tell me not to use toys with squeekers in them?
any thoughts on this?
I've stayed away from them because of a few people telling me this, but not sure if there's any real...
my dog goes nuts for those wellness puppy treats.
she'll eat anything, but she goes crazy for them. they taste just like barbecue sauce.
I taste all her treats and food and they are the only...
