Sounds like he is doing well. What does "charge" mean? I hope he doesn't have a Visa card! On a more serious note, make sure he has his permanent teeth before you start on force fetch or hold....

Welcome and thanks for posting that Glossary. It is a good one.
End of life decisions are always difficult. Are we making choices for ourselves, or our dogs? And then , of course, there are the expenses involved which can be staggering. I have just been through...
Very funny. And we can all relate. I have had to sit on my hands both times Weezie has produced litters because I desperately want one! My 16 plus year old South African Jack would not be amused. ...
Doxy is in short supply around here. And price has gone up. My vet had none, my local pharmacy was out , too. Finally got some farther afield.
Oh! I WANT ONE!! My old JRT is 16. Don't think he would appreciate a puppy at this point.
Wonderful tribute to a fine JRT. Mine turns 16 today which I thought was pretty old, but 19, that's impressive , considering they rarely die of "natural causes".
Ok, I am going to brag on my 90 year old husband. Last week we were shooting late season quail on a friend's plantation. Though still an excellent shot, walking over rough ground is challenging for...
Mnnn...Wonder if they made them for small children. That would put a stop to the bickering in the back seat.
Excellent! Thanks for posting.
Back to the original question. Re Macks...I wouldn't hold my breath on getting that backordered case of shells any time soon. I ordered a case of Hevi shot 20 guage for ducks on November 15th,...
Just curious, what would your dog be doing that he would experience two scratched corneas in such a short space of time? I don't think I have ever had a dog have one in 35 years and about that many...
Cow hooves once a month or so really help keep the tartar away.

Very cool, but what does tall that cover busting do to the camera? My so received a go pro for Christmas and we were talking about trying it on a bird dog, but our cover would be way too thick.
YESSS! They love the hunting...rules are not quite so strictly enforced, standards are ever so slightly relaxed. Off to the dove field his afternoon, ducks in the morning.

Personally, I love my big running horseback english pointers..all 7 of them. But, I also have an excellent shorthair, a setter, and recently lost an elderly Braque D'Auvergne. All have...
I am delighted that you have a wonderful dog that does what you want. When I refer to bird dogs, I am speaking of the pointing breeds. When I want a water dog I have a retriever. Many of the...
Exactly...to each his own. Personally....snore. Plodding bird dogs do nothing for me.
Go for the ice cream(spumoni) instead of the breed. I am sure there is someone on here who believes they are the best breed in the sporting world, but the ones I have seen are low octane.
Personally, though the Filson's are a great product and my son swears by them, I find them too stiff and heavy for working bird dogs all day in often heavy cover. Check out LLBean which have stood...
Love the music, love the scenery, and I love their working dogs.
