I feed Fromm Gold Adult formula, made in Wisconsin with good quality ingredients (NOT from China).....great food and about the same price as Pro Plan.

Go for it.....I had the same situation and put a lot of time and effort into the dog, made it to the top, great feeling.

Not surprising at all considering the present quality, amount of fillers and where the ingredients come from.
Fromm is ALL American,same price +/-, great end results in the dogs.

Pro Plan Performance is a good food used by many pros and trialers, I have used Pro Plan for 30 years on my Labs, never a problem.....so if your Lab is fine on it, stay with it.
