Golden Lab......a Pet Peeve of mine as well!
The wife and I pulled an engorged tick off my Lab pup two days ago. grrrrr...hate those things. This is 5 days after she got her first of two Lyme vaccines. Will be looking for a program as well.
Pinch collar here.
What he said^^^^^^^^
So sorry to hear about this.
Along the lines of the other guys....how much are you throwing for him, every day?, every second day?...could be you are working him too much. Slow down and cut back the number of sessions.
Good to see that the retrievers are getting their due credit in the uplands. My pup will be upland hunting 90% of the time, same as my other lab.
Fox 40 Pearl ...good sound and volume control. It's also pealess so in colder climates u don't need to worry about it freezing and not working.
Good lookin' yellow pup!!!!
awesome looking pup!
I think it really depends...................In this case with the little help from your hunting buddies in the general training of your dog it would be a "no". Now if they were really involved and...
My pup has hockey in her blood.......loves retrieving hockey pucks LOL

agree 100%...but with that said, I'm on Lab female #2.
It works in other sports. The same 80/20 rule applies in most of everything. I didn't say charge double. There is a happy medium to be found between running your dog and helping out with the HT vs...
I don't HT, but since you asked........Time to have two entry fees. X amount for entry with volunteer time and Y amount for strictly just entry, no volunteer time. Many sports do this already.
From one hockey dad to another..... welcome to the RTF!!!!!
A check cord is your and your dog's best friend.
I'm in the market for a collar and I'm also on a budget.. From all my research, this is the one I will be buying.
I'm in the same camp as Wayne. Break out some fun bumpers. This is suppose to be enjoyable isn't?
HAHA.......Thanks for the laugh!
My YLF is 6 mos as well.....really starting to see things come together as we learn together. Lots more to come!
Both my female Labs have been fixed as pups ( 5-7 mos). My first a BLF lived to be 14 and was a great hunter until she was retired due to old age. So far my current pup who was spayed in March is...
She is 6mos. It's a little later than I wanted but this never ending winter has pushed our training back about a month. No worries, I'm not in a huge rush, slow and steady..........
Thanks Guys...........This dog is not FF'd yet. Was interesting that she picked up and held the bird correctly every time. No feet, no wings, no head. Nice middle carry.
