The Labrador Retriever was not developed to be a Field Trial breed. It was developed as a hunting dog... a retriever of game. So, why then should the "breed standard" (which is already defined........
I use a wire crate... lots more air flow and you can get them similar in cost to a plastic crate.
Just for the record... I was being sarcastic too.... I wouldn't want anyone to pick a fight with my Mom....
Oh yeah.... well my Mom can beat up your Mom.... just sayin'....
They just don't realize there's a difference between seatin' and sittin'....

I hope you didn't view my post as a criticism.... I truly appreciate your posts and your experience. I merely am tried to present an alternative view because I really do not totally...
Yes.... OK... but I can say that I NEVER put my hand down and only release my eager beaver by his name. I have never sent my dog on a go-bird without saying his name. I believe that after thousands...

The landowners of one of my training spots have a border collie that loves to "play" with us when we train. I have a 6yo BLM that is very focused and knows his job, but is truly annoyed by this...
Whether we like it or not, the games we love, whether hunting or dog games, are subject to the whims of politicians and the input they receive from their constituents. We are fortunate that many in...

I voted yes.... training and participating in the hunt tests during the non-hunting season keeps my dog in in shape both physically and for training. As a side note for this question.. you only need...
I think all the dog games are great. Just get out there and train your dog to do what he/she was bred to do. I don't see any useful purpose in bashing other dog venues. If you enjoy the game you...
Somehow, somewhere, the scum that did this will get their just reward.... what a heartbreaking story... at least it has a happy ending.
Wow Harry.. I remember those puppy pictures when you first posted them. Has it been 4 years already????
What a great tribute. He was so fortunate to have a great life. I can just seem him now across the Rainbow Bridge picking a fight with all the big dogs.... Godspeed Russell...
Can you say "reading comprehension"??????
Can you get a perfect notch in your new teeth???
Never, and I mean NEVER, leave them alone together. As much as you may trust your new dog, and as calm as he may be around your step-son, you never know what may happen in a room where they are...
