Is there a problem with Iverhart Max? I don't know a lot about worming meds and basically follow what my vet recommends and Iverhart Max is what he prescribed for my dog. Thanks
with the pull ups, do you cut a hole for the tail to go through?
I have tried my tightie whities, they work kinda OK, but occasionally fall off if I don't safety pin em tight enough. I am interested also in something more sure fire.
Amen Ted. My dog learned your 10 lessons in derby REALLY well. Still working hard on correcting those habits 2 years later.
I would like to add to the discussion on the technical aspects of the marks. The dog needs to be completely de-cheated on water entries as virtually all of the derbies I ran a couple years ago...
Same as others. I hunt my young female on both upland birds and waterfowl. Got her QAA last year and will run AA this year. She seems to know the difference and LOVES to hunt. Also hunting her...
It would be interesting to add another vote column...which is "don't hunt birds". I know there have been threads before about what percentage of field trial dogs also hunt. As gooser said earlier,...
I also have Pet Plan and unfortunately also have an accident prone dog. I have filed several claims to Pet Plan and all have been addressed promptly. I only had to submit the health history once...
Just my own opinion, but if you dog is sitting quietly and not moving, I would look somewhere else for the reason geese are flaring your setup. I have decoyed TONS of geese right into decoy spreads...
Meleagris, Mike first tried the conventional stuff like "sit, stick, sit" or "sit, nick, sit" and various other things that didn't phase her in the least. The way Mike got to my dog on creeping was...
I have/had the same type pup. Last spring I went to a Lardy Seminar as an owner/handler primarily for line manners/noise. I can say at least for that seminar, my dog became the poster child of bad...
Yeah Jeff, it is me. How is Beanie doin? I am thinking of taking the BIG step to AA next season....kinda scarey cause it will be new to me, but I got some good experience running the Q's. You are...
Gooser, I have long gone by a saying I heard once...."If you think you can or you think you can't, you are right!" The dog I now own, I bought thinking I could have a gun dog for hunting. I had...
I am one of those with a young (3 year old) QAA dog (with a 2nd place finish) that still runs the Qual and probably will until I win two Quals. The reason? I am new to the trial game and this is...
Kieth was VERY lucky removing his dog from the snare. When hunting where trapping may occur, carry a good pair of wire cutters. While it is relatively easy to remove a dog from a leg hold or even...
I am still learnin, so don't have a suggestion, except thanks to Ted. I have never thought about how to picture a blind based upon what is going to be on the judges notebook. A VERY good hint for...
Without all the added factors (hen/duck mix, thick grass, wind changes), just the standard set up with a short retired gun hip pocket with a long up gun has caused me to plot, stew, pray and whatever...
Did the survery....boy made me aware of how much I spend in time and money!
Along this thread, I have a question. I had my dog tested for CNM and EIC. My vet sent the samples to DDC (Veterinary Diagnostics Center) in Fairfield, OH, not to the Univ of Minn. I have the...
I saw one post done today....it is a sketch for the 5th series (I think) posted about 1/2 hr ago
When I attended the Lardy seminar this March in CA a bit of this discussion on continuous vs momentary also came up. My notes and memory are clear on this subject. Lardy said BASICALLY he does not...
Never mind, I got it....kinda goofy way to get back in time, but it works....thanks Breck
Grrrrr, I do not see "previous posts" on my blog page. I can click on "current posts" but besides the date, I cannot seem to go back in time for a particular date. Guess I am just a geezer, but...
Hard to tell from the pics, does not look like look like blue green algae to me. Actually the pics look like common duck weed (Lemnoidaea) which is actually an indicator of pretty good water quality
