Use scent free spray for deer huknting. I keep the traning antlers in a bucket, outside and always use a plastic bag to handle them so my scent is not on the antlers.

I have recommended the Richard Wolters books for new trainers and I think they are very easy to follow and help newbies build a strong foundation for their new pups.
