I don't like training in the heat. I may train early or late but will cut down on the work. Also, some dogs wilt faster than others.

I have many materials dealing with training retrievers. When I use one I don't like to deviate from what the author suggests. That being said, in the past most would have said no retrieving at all...

That is why I asked. You will decrease your own frustration by training at half the speed that you think you should do. You will have less of a chance of making a mistake that will need to be undone...

My dog was from FC-AFC Mioaks Main Event x Mishka's Mission Impossible. Several commented that he looked a little like a Chessie. Very wavy down the spine. Not much feathering.
