That should be doable if you send a blood sample and overnight it. I don't recommend a cheek swab it you're in a time crunch.

The U of MN VDL runs the EIC test on M and Th, and usually our turnaround time is about a week. You can call the lab on M or Th afternoon if it is urgent.

In 2008 (test began in July) we saw:

335 Affected (12.9%)
1093 Carriers (42.2%)
1164 Clears (44.9%)

With several hundred Golden Retrievers checked, we haven't found any affected or carriers for the EIC mutation. If it is in the population, it is quite rare.
