Tim and Lauren get my vote as well.
Let me start this off with making it clear that I am not a veterinarian. I am an orthodontist so I am basing my comments on human skeletal and dental development. There are similarities between dog...
Second trip to Saskatchewan for three year old Hattie. Great experience for dog and handler!
We rotated dogs each day- she was a tired girl after retrieving 4 man limits of ducks...
Hattie in Saskatchewan retrieving a Speck or White- fronted Goose. Hattie had about 75 duck/goose retrieves for the week!! Wonderful waterfowling experience!!!
Not a Vet but I'm a dentist. I would also go with option #2. Good Luck.
Are there any more reviews of the Sportdog release system? It seems that the general sentiment is that they are pretty good units however the sounds from the receiver are not as loud as the Dogtra. I...
I have both the Nikon 70-200 2.8 and the 300 f4 AFS non- VR(will be selling the 300 f4) Both are extremely sharp. The Nikon 300 is often regarded as the best bang for your buck to get to 400mm(with a...
Yes-it is a trade off certainly. You can usually save some money buying from FM but you do not get any warranty. Either way he will save money either way by purchasing used equipment!!
Wayne, if you do end up buying used equipment another resource is Fred Miranda website under their buy/sell forum. I have bought multiple lens there and the transactions went smoothly.
I agree that it is out of focus but I am not sure that anything is really in focus. If something is in focus other than what the camera was focused on then the lens is either front or back focusing....
Thanks jackh. If my wife knew what I paid for it both the lens and I would be looking for a new home!!!
Thanks for the kind words Jamee. I am be no means an expert but I enjoy photography and how it can help preserve memories of my other hobbies-dogs and waterfowl hunting.
Here is Hattie-4 months old at the time. Now 3 years old and will be running first Masters test next month. Taken with Nikon 70-200 2.8 VR and Nikon D300.
Intermediate here also. My dog is a 55lb lab and it is perfect for her.
First week of November(and later) is often excellant for waterfowling. Been going to North Dakota for nearly 20 years and have had our best hunts later in the year. You run the risk of missing the...
I put a Junior title on a 6 year old lab years ago. It was my introduction to dog training and it was a blast. Learned alot and met alot of new and friendly faces. Definitely do it if you want!!!
Maybe a dumb question from a rookie but looking at purchasing a Zinger Winger and am wondering can you use them without a primer. I am wondering because I train alot on public areas and would like to...
I'm a rookie at this as well but if I were in your shoes would pick the more adventurous one as well. Its kind of a crap shoot but go with your gut and do your best with what you end up with.
I wish I would have bought my first one a year ago!! Now can't get one anywhere!
Fantastic images. Using 300 2.8 I assume?? With a tc?
I have a 2014 GMC Sierra crew cab and the intermediate fits fine in the back seat.
Here is Hattie on a cold day in North Dakota during her first seaon. she retrieved a three man limit of bluebills and a mixed bag of teal, mallards, and redheads. She is currently in Texas with Tim...
