Cut the round bar off the skeg of the PD if you run hard bottom. It'll run side by side with the MB in hard bottom conditions.

Both units as they sit are pretty good.

Imo where PD gets the nod over the MB is no tiller torque and full power reverse.
Just a word of caution . MB is coming out with a new line of motors that...

Tiller torque also comes into play with a heavy cross wind.

Find out how good the dealers are near you reguardless of manuf.
